Is there a worm in the apple?

I was all gung-ho to get a 4, but now I'm not so sure. Seems like major reports of glitches are streaming in, particularly regarding a yellow band on the display, and decreased reception if you hold the phone by its sides. (Is that why apple came out with its own holder for the first time?)

I think the buy signal just went to hold--as in hold off for a while.

Thank goodness Dave explained to those gathered for the GCMAC meeting tonight that those issues should not delay your purchase! The yellowing is rare and will likely go away soon as the glue cures. If it doesn't, take the phone to Apple. As to the reception issue, you can avoid having the strength go down by holding the phone with your right hand, or in a way that doesn't cover the metal band/microphone running around the phone. Another solution is to put a rubber case around the phone, so as to prevent your hand from coming in contact with the band.

Thanks for the good apps info last night. Wish there had been more time and that Jim had had a chance to wow us with his insights. I also gained good iPad info from some members during the break. Can we talk about iPad apps on this blog, or do we need to start another?

Betty, a app by any platform is still an app, so I've got no problem expanding the blog to include the iPad. The problem is, neither of your appTalkers have an iPad--yet! Would you like to become a contributor?
